International co-production

CineSud aims to connect its own network of filmmakers with filmmakers from other regions and countries. Next to our successful Euregion Film Festival and SHIFT Film Festival, in which we organise training- and networking-events for (inter)national filmmakers, from 2018 on we launch a call for international co-production focussed on short films by new filmmakers (first, second or third professional short film).

Introduction

The international co-production call is aimed at new filmmakers who will make their first, second or third professional short filmproduction. We accept as well fiction as non-fiction as animation and welcome every style and genre. After submitting a project, a professional jury will decide which projects will be passed on to CineSud for further development of the co-production. Depending the budget indication and possibilities of co-funding in the country of origin, CineSud itself normally invest between €2.500 and €10.000 in a production. Next to that, we have acces to additional funds. Please be aware that our resources are limited and that they don’t just function as co-financing for your project; the co-production should be of value for all the parties and countries or regions involved.

Regulations international co-production
